# About WatchieBesti

I'm a dad and a gamer. I built WatchieBesti for my daughter when her watch pet app stopped working.
She wanted a pet on her wrist again, so I made one. Every morning she shares her pet's look, and she starts her day with a brain game. That little routine is what I wanted to give everyone: a little bit of joy, close at hand, all day.
The pet feels every move you make. It reads the Move ring on your Apple Watch, so any movement counts, not only steps. It's sleepy until you get going and happy once you do. If it looks sad, a walk or a play cheers it up. Nobody is telling you off.
I've loved games all my life, so there's more under the cute than you might guess: species to collect, hats to dress up in, a Bestiary, brain games. Ignore all of it and just enjoy your pet if you like.
