A Tamagotchi-style pet for Apple Watch
There is no Tamagotchi app for Apple Watch from Bandai on the App Store as of October 2026. Bandai's current app, My Tamagotchi Forever, runs on iPhone and iPad only. Bandai's Tamagotchi Classic had a watch version in 2015 and was retired in 2019. WatchieBesti is a Tamagotchi-style watch pet: it hatches from an egg and grows up through life stages. You don't press buttons to feed it. Your steps and workouts look after it.

How it works day to day
Wear your watch. That's the whole routine. WatchieBesti reads your steps, heart rate and workouts from Apple Health, and your pet's mood follows your day.
You wake up to a morning glow, brighter if yesterday was a good day. Move and the pet is happy. Sit still too long and it turns sad or sleepy. Beat your usual activity and it goes ecstatic. At bedtime it sleeps. A 24-hour mood ring around the pet shows how the day went, hour by hour.
Active days add up, and after weeks of them your pet reaches adulthood. Glance at a complication on your watch face to check in without opening the app.
What feels like a Tamagotchi, and what doesn't
Familiar
- Every pet starts as a mystery egg that cracks and hatches.
- It grows through life stages: egg, cracked egg, baby, young and adult.
- It has moods you can read at a glance, from ecstatic to sleeping.
- You name it, and you can feed it Bursts to speed up its growth.
- When it grows up, it graduates into your family collection and a new egg arrives. Thirteen species across three kingdoms: Animals, Plants and Machines.
Different
- A classic Tamagotchi needs button presses to feed and clean it. Here your activity is the care, and the Bursts you feed it come from moving.
- Your pet never dies. The lowest it goes is sad or asleep, and a walk brings it back.
- It lives on your watch face through complications.
- Eleven Brain Boost mini-games run on the watch for short breaks.
- Your health data is yours. We never see it. No account, no server.
Questions
- Is there an official Tamagotchi app for Apple Watch?
- Not as of October 2026. Bandai's current Tamagotchi apps, My Tamagotchi Forever and Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom, don't run on Apple Watch. The older Tamagotchi Classic app had watch support until Bandai retired it in 2019.
- Can my pet die?
- No. A quiet day makes it sad or sleepy, and that's as low as it goes. There's no game over and nothing to restart.
- Do I have to tap anything each day?
- No. Wearing the watch is enough. Feeding Bursts, playing Brain Boost and dressing your pet up are there when you want them.
- Do I need an iPhone?
- No. It runs on Apple Watch by itself. If you have an iPhone, the companion app shows your pet's history and your graduated pets in their kingdom habitats.
- What does it cost?
- Free to download, and your first pet is included. No ads and no subscription. Optional one-time purchases add more kingdoms, and Family Sharing covers your household.
